The EdgeRouter X is available in 2 models: ER-X and ER-X-SPF. The standard model the ER X can be powered by an external power supply or 24V passive PoE input. A passive PoE pass-through option over port 1 is available to support another device.
The EdgeRouter X-SFP is powered by an external power adapter. The 5th Gigabit RJ45 port supports 24V passive PoE output for other devices. The SFP port is suitable for fiber optic connection to support backhaul applications.
