Using high-quality reed switches, the system is extremely reliable and can switch more than 1,000,000 without any problems.
The two-way communication with the Hub makes it possible to check the status of the contact. A ping will be sent every 12-300 seconds.
The battery has a lifespan of up to 5 years, which can easily be replaced with a new (CR123A) battery.
Working principle
The device detects when a door or window is opened using a high-end reed relay, made in the UK. It can also operate in transmitter mode, sending a signal from the wired sensor to the hub.
Features
The device even protects windows that are open for ventilation. The accelerometer senses changes in pitch, pops and vibrations and sends an alarm to the hub. The difference with the standard doorprotect is two extra functions: Vibration detector and Tilt detector, both are standard equipped with the Opening detector.
Installation and setup
