The Ajax MotionProtect Plus is a wireless PIR/Microwave security detector and due to its smart algorithms the detector can ignore small animals up to 20KG. The combination of PIR and Microwave technology excludes false alarms and is ideal in rooms where curtains move, an air conditioner or heat source is present.
The detector detects movement up to a distance of 12 meters. The sensitivity of the detector is adjustable in 3 positions and has a detection range of: 88.5° horizontal / 80° vertical. Installation is very easy using the SmartBrake and can also be mounted at a 45° angle.
The battery has a lifespan of up to 5 years, which can easily be replaced with a new (CR123A) battery.
Working principle
Detects human presence by temperature differences with the heat radiation in the background. The microwave sensor prevents false alarms caused by complex interference.
Features
Designed to function in areas with fireplaces and air conditioning. Detects and ignores drafts, the movement of curtains and blinds and light flicker, glare and reflection. The biggest difference of the Motion Detect Plus compared to the entry-level model is that, in addition to a motion sensor, it can also filter whether certain air flows from, for example, of the Airo or Fireplace create noise which can cause false alarms.
Installation and Setup
Ready to use immediately. The battery is already installed inside. So you don't have to disassemble the detector. You can hang it in just a few minutes with the SmartBracket bracket.
