Product description

The EAP655 wall is a TP-Link brand wireless Access Point, part of the EAP family, intended for indoor use with surface mounting on a flush-mounted box. It is a dual-band AP that supports WiFi standards 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax.
It offers 2x2 MIMO on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, with modulation rates of 574 + 2402 Mbps. The access point has four built-in antennas with a gain of 3 and 5 dBi and offers double the capacity thanks to 160 MHz wide channels in the 5 GHz band.

LAN and PoE

The access point has four 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN ports, the first of which supports PoE IN according to 802.3af/at standards. This port is located on the back of the device, facing the plastic box in the wall. The remaining 3 Gigabit LAN ports are located on the bottom of the device and one of these ports supports PoE throughput (PoE-out). This allows it to power other devices such as VoIP phones, IP cameras and other devices with a maximum power of 13W.
