Ajax DoorProtect

The Ajax DoorProtect is a wireless magnetic contact intended to secure windows and doors. The Ajax DoorProtect notifies you as soon as there are signs that a room is being invaded because a door or window is broken. It can be mounted on all types of doors, including doors with a metal base. In addition, the sensor has the option of a wired input to which an external contact can be connected. Think of a floor contact with a roller door.

Using high-quality reed switches, the system is extremely reliable and can switch more than 1,000,000 without any problems.

The two-way communication with the Hub makes it possible to check the status of the contact. A ping will be sent every 12-300 seconds.

The battery has a lifespan of up to 7 years, which can easily be replaced with a new (CR123A) battery.

Working principle

The device detects when a door or window is opened using a high-end reed relay, made in the UK. It can also operate in transmitter mode, sending a signal from the wired sensor to the hub.

Features

The device consists of two modules: a detector and a magnet. The set contains two magnets: the large magnet is installed at a distance of up to 2 cm, the small one up to 1 cm.

Installation and setup

Ready to use right out of the box: the battery is already installed, so there is no need to disassemble the detector. Connected to the hub in the mobile application with just one click. It can be mounted on the SmartBracket in just a few minutes.
